Leading up to the highly anticipated Westlake Boys Father Son Breakfast with All Blacks Manager Darren Shand on Thursday 7th July, we proudly offer you the chance to purchase an extraordinary All Blacks keepsake. We have been very fortunate to secure the latest All Blacks jersey, signed by the 2016 All Blacks team in the week leading up to the Steinlager Series test win against Wales at Eden Park. The framed jersey will make for a significant piece of All Blacks history for your home, office or sports club and will be for sale in a ‘Silent Email Auction’ leading up to the morning of the Father Son Breakfast.
Who has made it possible for us to offer this special auction item?
The All Blacks jersey was generously donated by our guest speaker Darren Shand and the All Blacks Team and it has been professionally framed by Factory Frames Mairangi Bay. Please support them for all your framing needs.
All funds raised from the silent auction will benefit the Westlake Boys Distance runners in their quest to become this year’s National Champions.
For information on how to participate in the silent auction of this exciting item, see below:
What is a ‘Silent Email Auction’?
The Silent Email Auction is an auction variant of the English auction in which bids are emailed to the event organiser. At the predetermined end of the auction (see below), the highest listed bidder wins the jersey.
How to get your hands on the 2016 Signed All Blacks Jersey?
To become the proud owner of the framed 2016 All Blacks jersey, please email your bid(s) to Christine O’Dowd on codowd@westlake.school.nz before 5pm on Wednesday 6th July.
You’ve made your bid, now what?
We will email you an updated bid sheet, listing the current bids (excluding names) to all our bidders. The bid sheet will also be posted on the Westlake Boys Facebook page and in the Headmaster’s newsletter as well as on the Westlakers Facebook page and Instagram account.
Silent Email Auction Closing stages and Text Bids
All Silent Email Auction bidders need to have at least one bid registered by 6pm Wednesday 6th July, the eve of the Father Son Breakfast.
All registered bidders and guests at the Father Son Breakfast will be offered the opportunity to keep bidding during the breakfast until the silent auction closes at 8am.
The updated bid sheet will be emailed to all registered bidders after 7.30am and text bids will be accepted until 8am. Text bids can be sent to Vicki Fowler on 021 769671. The auction winner (please note, not necessarily present at the Father Son Breakfast!) will be announced at approximately 8.20am at the conclusion of the event.
