On Monday we celebrated the academic achievements of our highest-performing students at Scholars’ Assembly. In addition to maintaining high pass rates at all levels of NCEA and CIE, we were pleased to have a large number of students achieve Excellence endorsements and course endorsements in NCEA, and A* and A Grades in CIE. Our students also accumulated 151 Scholarships, including 20 Outstanding Scholarships.
In addition to our Dux, Joshua Chin, and Proxime Accessit, Jonathan Wang, four more boys received Outstanding Scholar Awards by gaining five or more Scholarships with one Outstanding or three Scholarships with two Outstanding. Stefan Ivanov is remarkable for achieving this as a Year 12 student.
Five students came Top in New Zealand or Top in the World in Cambridge subjects and Gareth Edwards was exceptional for achieving two Top in New Zealand and one Top in the World in his IGCSE exams, with 7A* grades.
It was great to see many of last year’s Year 13 students come back to school to receive their scholar’s ties and badges.
