Year 9 student, Tyler Clayton, competed in the National Kayak Championships at Lake Karapiro – the pinnacle event for kayaking in New Zealand, where the country’s best compete over 3 days. Tyler came away with silver medals in both t
he 100m and 200m sprints and only narrowly missed out on a medal in the 500m, placing 4th. He was hugely honoured to recive his medals from Olympic Gold medallist, Lisa Carrington.
