“LEST WE FORGET”
On Saturday, 26 April 2015, Westlake’s prefects accompanied by Messrs Ferguson, Cachopa and Smith participated in the ANZAC Day Commemoration service in Takapuna.
We joined the parade on Sanders Avenue with numerous schools from the neighbouring area for the march pass along Lake Road, led by the North Shore Brass Band to the Takapuna Strand Plaza .
George Han, our Deputy Head boy, amongst others, read the ANZAC prayer and Our Head Boy, Andre Jackson, laid a wreath on behalf of our school. It proved to be a memorable event with hundreds of people from the local community showing their respects. In addition, Riley Cahill together with Arthur and Henry Close were part of the Band that led the Kumeu parade.
